1. how do I connect the app to my bike?
Once you have downloaded the Cyklær app and logged in, you can easily connect your Cyklær bike to it by following the instructions in the app. When connecting for the first time, make sure that your Cyklær is nearby and that you have switched it on. This way your bike will be recognised by the Cyklær app.
2 When will my Cyklaer be delivered?
As demand is currently very high, delivery is based on order sequence. This means that the earlier you order, the faster your bike will be delivered. If you go for a test ride before your bike is delivered and realise that you need a different frame size, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can adjust production. The delivery time for your Cyklaer is currently 15-30 days.
3. what sizes do you offer?
Our Cyklaer models range from size S (from 164cm) to size XL (from 190cm). You can find a detailed geometry table on the Cyklaer product page.
4. what do I do if I am between two frame sizes?
If you are between two frame sizes, the following applies: For a more agile, sporty or "race" riding behaviour, choose the smaller frame size. For a smoother, touring-orientated ride, choose the larger frame size. Arrange a test ride in one of our stores to make sure you choose the right frame size. We will also be happy to advise you by phone or email.
5 What is the difference between the Gravel and Urban version?
E-Gravel: The Cyklær E-Gravel bike is the sporty, purist version of the Cyklær with aerodynamic dropbar handlebar/stem insert made of carbon and gravel tyres. Without lights, pannier rack and mudguards.
E-Gravelwith streetwear kit: The Cyklær Gravel e-bike is optionally available with a streetwear package, which includes mudguards, pannier rack and integrated lighting from Busch & Müller. Comfortable, sporty and safe. The Cyklær E-Gravel Streetwear is a true all-round talent.
E-Urban: The Cyklær E-Urban with its carbon flatbar handlebars is the elegant all-rounder for daily use in the city or for the daily commute to the office. The E-Urban is also equipped with the streetwear package and focusses more on comfort.
6. what equipment does the Cyklaer have?
The Cyklær has a full carbon frame, a FAZUA Ride 50 Trail drivetrain, DT Swiss G1800 wheels (optional upgrade to DT Swiss GRC 1400 carbon wheels), SRAM Force AXS gears and brakes, carbon handlebars, saddle and seatpost and an SP-Connect smartphone holder with inductive charging unit. The SP-Connect smartphone case must be purchased separately.
7. what is the maximum range of the Cyklaer drive?
With the Cyklær drive, you can ride up to 120 km in the mix. Of course, the range always depends on the route profile with gradients and metres in altitude, the riding style and the rider's weight. In the energy-saving "breeze" mode or Eco mode, you can achieve a range of up to 120 km, in the "river" mode as a medium level, the range is up to 90 km and in the powerful "rocket" mode, the range is up to 70 km.
8. what is the best way to use my battery and what do I do in winter?
You should store the battery in a dry place, ideally at a room temperature of 10 to 20 degrees Celsius. A charge retention of between 30% and 60% is optimal for the service life of the battery. Initial tips on using the FAZUA Ride 50 Trail drive can be found here. Despite the cold, salt and ice, you can of course continue to ride your Cyklær in winter. The following five tips will show you how to get your FAZUA Ride System safely through the winter months:
Tip 1: Remove water from the Drivepack! Make sure that there is no moisture between the drive pack and the battery.
tip 2: Clean the radiator! When brushing out the radiator, don't forget to clean the drainage hole in particular.
tip 3: Never ride without a downtube cover! If you want to ride without support, insert a downtube cover into the down tube of the bike.
Tip 4: Clean the electronic interfaces between the drive pack and bottom bracket! You can remove dust and dirt with a fine cloth.
Tip 5: Update the software! Then don't forget to screw the USB cap back onto the opening. Ideally, you should always remove the Drivepack and the battery when you clean your Cyklær bike. If you do not intend to ride your Cyklær for an extended period in winter, you should store the battery and Drivepack at room temperature with a charge level between 30 % and 60 %.

10. how can I attach my smartphone to the handlebars?
The high-quality SP-Connect smartphone holder is already fitted to your Cyklær. With the matching SP-Connect smartphone case, you can easily attach your smartphone and charge it at the same time. 11. are the stem, handlebars and seatpost interchangeable?
The interchangeability of the above-mentioned components is mechanically feasible for all of them, but involves varying degrees of effort. The seat post is easy to replace, provided that the alternative seat post selected is also hollow on the inside and has the right diameter for the camera cable connection, which runs through the seat post. The saddle can also be easily replaced, as most saddles have the standard adapter for the camera's clip system. Handlebar and stem are one unit. Theoretically, it is also possible to replace these as they are standard dimensions at the interfaces. However, it would involve a little more effort, as we have integrated internal hoses/cable routing for the brakes through the handlebars. These would have to be reconnected and internally routed for a different handlebar - which is not entirely trivial, but certainly feasible. The camera attachment to the handlebars would then have to be checked again, depending on the newly selected handlebar unit.
12. does the Cyklaer have a road licence (StVO)?
If you spend a lot of time on the road, we recommend the Cyklær E-Gravel or E-Urban with Streetwear Kit. This equips your Cyklær with mudguards, pannier rack and integrated lighting from Busch & Müller. In order to achieve full StVZO conformity, further additions to the Cyklær must be taken into account, such as various reflectors, a bell and possibly other market-specific components.
13. is the bike delivered fully assembled?
You will receive your Cyklær fully assembled from us. To keep it as compact as possible for shipping, only the handlebars are detached and screwed in. Apart from that, you don't need to assemble or set up anything else. Simply unpack and ride off. Take a look at our quick start video.
14. are there Cyklaer dealers outside Germany?

The app has a digital rear-view mirror, navigation and Komoot integration and allows you to take photos and videos with the front and rear cameras. You can also keep an eye on all your bike data on the extended dashboard. The integrated SIM card in the Cyklær establishes a connection to the app. Thanks to location tracking and motion sensors via GPS tracking, you can track your Cyklær conveniently at any time and from anywhere. In addition, Apple Music and Apple Health provide you with health data and the right soundtrack for every adventure. Some functions are presented in the App Starter Video.
3. what does the Cyklaer app cost?
You can use the Cyklær Pro upgrade free of charge for the first 12 months. This includes all digital services, such as extended telemetry data in the dashboard, integration of music services (e.g. Apple Music), integration of Apple Health, remote mode with battery level, range and notifications as well as anti-theft functions such as GPS tracking, motion sensor and alerts. After 12 months, Cyklær Pro costs €7.99 per month. However, you can continue to use your Cyklær bike and the Cyklær app free of charge. Basic functions of the e-bike app such as the dashboard, digital rear-view mirror, navigation and over-the-air software updates will remain available to you.
4. which functions can I use without the Pro version of the app, or can I use my Cyklaer completely without the app?
You can continue to use your Cyklær bike and the Cyklær app free of charge. Basic functions of the e-bike app such as the dashboard, digital rear-view mirror, navigation and over-the-air software updates will remain available to you.
Of course, you can also use your Cyklær bike as normal without the Cyklær app and ride it as a normal e-bike. To use the innovative functions such as the digital rear-view mirror, navigation, Apple Health and Apple Music, telemetry data and GPS tracking, you need the Cyklær app.
5. can I also use the Cyklaer app abroad?
You can use the Cyklær app within the EU. Long-term use outside the EU is not intended due to the mobile phone connection in the Cyklær Bike.
6. what are the system requirements and usage restrictions for the Cyklaer app?
The app can only be run on Apple devices that support at least iOS version 13 or higher. The provision of functions intended for use together with a Cyklær bike (such as Remote Mode) requires the app to be paired with a Cyklær bike. Please note that for each pairing process between the app and a Cyklær bike, the Bluetooth function of the mobile device on which the app is running must be activated. To use the remote mode, the mobile device must be connected to the Cyklaer bike via WLAN interface. In addition, an internet connection is required to enable certain functions (such as remote mode, navigation, third-party integrations) of the app. The use of the "Navigation" function requires the activation of the GPS function of the mobile device on which the app is running.
7 My smartphone does not charge while travelling in the SP Connect case. What can I do?
Firstly, check that your smartphone is mounted correctly and that the entire surface is touching the charger. Make sure that the charger is switched on. You can recognise this by the illuminated light on the left-hand side. If this is not the case, press the button on the underside of the inductive charger. 8. my smartphone does not connect directly to the Cyklaer Bike when I start it.
The Cyklær's on-board computer takes approx. 20 seconds to start up and activate the WiFi interface. Your smartphone can then be connected to the Cyklær without any problems. You can find some initial tips about the Cyklær app in the app starter video.

9. do the cameras also work at night?
The cameras do not support night vision and require an appropriate light level to utilise them to their full extent. Nevertheless, they can be used in the evening or at night with adequate street lighting.
