1. how often should I have my e-bike serviced?
Due to the higher frame weight and greater forces, servicing is required more frequently. Due to the electric drive, some components such as the chain should be replaced a little earlier than on a normal bike. Please refer to the motor manufacturer's operating instructions to find out how often the bike needs to be serviced. We generally advise you to have your e-bike serviced every six months.
2. How far can I drive with a fully charged battery?
The range depends on a number of factors: Outside temperature, body weight, cadence. It also depends on how you use the three support modes of the motor (Shimano: Eco, Trail/Norm, Boost/High; Fazua: Breeze (green), River (blue), Rocket (purple); Continental: 1, 2, 3, 4) and how many metres in altitude you ride.
3. Is the battery charged when you receive it?
Our e-bikes are always charged when they are delivered, as we test ride them once again after assembly is complete.
4. What is the best way to store my battery?
Please store the battery in a dry place, ideally at a room temperature of 10 to 20 degrees Celsius. Maintaining a charge of between 30 and 80 % is optimal for the service life of the battery.
5. What do I do if I realise that my battery is faulty?
If your battery appears to be faulty, please contact us or your dealer directly. We will check the facts and contact the manufacturer to solve your problem. For all further details, please contact our customer service.
6. What do I need to consider with my e-bike battery in winter?
It is best to store your battery indoors at temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees. If you also ride your e-bike in winter, you should only insert the battery shortly before setting off and, if possible, take it back to your home or office at the end of the ride. Wait until the battery has warmed up again before charging. In the cold, your battery will not work like it does in summer and will not deliver the same performance. The range decreases noticeably. So always keep an eye on your battery indicator. Incidentally, the battery warms itself up during storm generation. If you do not use your battery for a longer period of time, you should store it with a charge level of 30 to 80 %. We do not recommend draining your battery completely. It should also be noted that the battery slowly discharges itself. It should therefore be checked after one to two months and recharged if necessary.
7. Can I have my bike serviced elsewhere?
You can also take your bike to other garages, as long as the inspection etc. is carried out professionally.
