WIND TUNNEL TESTED AERODYNAMICS

Our goal is to build the fastest road bikes in the world. in the world. Our wind tunnel tests are the key to realising and verifying this goal. realise and verify this goal. First of all, CFD and liquid fluid analyses analyses are used to calculate the wheels and carry out optimisations. Through each CFD measurement, we try to reduce drag and maximise aerodynamics and efficiency. and maximise efficiency. In this way, we not only optimise the aerodynamics, also optimise the frame geometry to give you the ultimate riding experience riding experience - especially at high speeds. To check theoretical values and to prove our bikes with factual values, the test is carried out in the world's best wind tunnel, GST in Immenstaad. These tests are crucial to our success and enable us to design road bikes that are bikes that are currently unrivalled in terms of performance, weight and comfort. unrivalled.

Data Driven

Since our beginnings, we have relied on a data-driven philosophy. Because only what can be measured can be optimised. With precise data, we continuously improve the stiffness, comfort and aerodynamics aerodynamics of our models. Our engineers analyse these measured values in order to subsequently improve the wheels with the help of our experience. The result: our bikes are repeatedly top of the league in magazine tests, as well as in the renowned Tour magazine. At Storck, it's not just about cycling, but about the continuous improvement of the riding experience - through data and engineering expertise.

Timeless design

Storck has always stood for excellent design that perfectly perfectly combines function and aesthetics. Our principle "form follows function" means that every design has a clear, well thought-out function that is expressed in the expressed in the design language. In keeping with the Bauhaus doctrine of "simplicity and functionality", our engineers and designers work hand in hand to optimise every detail. optimise every detail. We are particularly proud of the 130 international design awards that we have won over the years. These awards confirm not only the technological excellence, but also the unique the unique aesthetics of our products. At Storck, technology is never just Storck, technology is never just used for its intended purpose, but flows harmoniously into every design - for products that will remain timeless for many years.

The Storck Aerfast.4/.5 fork sets new standards in aerodynamics and performance. aerodynamics and performance. With its innovative design and sophisticated fork fork cross-section, it offers a perfect balance between low drag and maximum stiffness. Thanks to the new UCI regulation, which maximum fork width of 80mm, riders benefit from even more aerodynamic aerodynamics at high speeds. The special Kammtail design on the rear of the fork improves the wind breakaway edge and ensures outstanding aerodynamic efficiency. aerodynamic efficiency. Developed in close collaboration with the experts from SwissSide, the Aerfast.4/.5 fork offers optimum performance for all demanding cyclists.

PPC - Platinum/Pro/Comp

The Storck Platinum, Pro and Comp models are characterised by the targeted use of different carbon fibres and resins, which are perfectly perfectly matched to the respective requirements. The Platinum models use only carbon fibres of the highest quality, which guarantees exceptional stiffness and minimum weight. The Pro models use a mix of mix of high-quality fibres to achieve the perfect balance between performance and price. performance and price. The Comp models use a simpler fibre fibre technology, which offers a perfect basis for entry-level riders. Also The finish also varies depending on the model. The Comp models impress with a modern modern stealth look that combines visible carbon fibre with a matt black paint finish and smoke mirror decals or gloss black decals. The Pro models impress with their colour scheme and glossy finish that underlines a sporty look. emphasises a sporty look. For the elegant Platinum models, Storck has chosen a fine glaze and Platinum decals, which give the bike an exclusive, elegant touch. give the bike an exclusive, elegant touch.

ISM - Integrated Seat Post Mount

The integrated seat post mount from Storck revolutionises the riding experience and the design of our bikes. By eliminating the seat dome on the frame frame, the seat post can offer longer suspension travel, which leads to increased increased flex of the seatpost. Especially with a greater extension of the seatpost, these advantages are clearly evident. This effect is supported This effect is supported by the HFX technology in our MLP seatposts. The clamp is bolted from below and thus ensures a self-locking connection. The integrated system not only impresses with its tidy appearance, but also with a weight saving thanks to the shorter seat tube and the elimination elimination of the seat clamp. Storck has already registered this innovative technology as a utility model back in 2012 (DE 20 2012 013 618) and in 2018 as a patent patent (DE10 2012 010 045.0) to give you the best possible riding experience. possible.

CSC - Circular Saddle Clamp

The Circular Saddle Clamp from Storck sets new standards in performance and design. The special feature lies in the round head shape of the seat post, in which the carbon rows are arranged in a circle. This arrangement ensures particularly high stiffness and at the same time an extremely low low weight - ideal for the highest demands on performance and comfort. Originally developed for monolink saddle rails, the clamp is now also compatible with also compatible with modern saddles with two rails. So you benefit from the innovative technology regardless of the saddle used. The Circular Saddle Clamp combines precision, functionality and aesthetic design - a perfect symbiosis of technology and innovation that improves every ride.

DDS - Directional Depending Stiffness

Directional dependent stiffness is the ability of a of a frame or component to react optimally to forces in the direction of direction of load while maintaining a high level of comfort. Is the synergy of desired stiffness and desired comfort. This is achieved This is achieved in frames through the design of transverse oval tube shapes, the targeted use of materials (e.g. carbon fibres) and their processing (e.g. special processing (e.g. special layout plans for carbon fibre reinforced plastics).

SAS - Sectional Aerodynamic Shaping

The rider himself and his seating position the aerodynamics of the overall system. The geometry of the bike (handlebars, wheels, frame) is another factor. The frame must minimise the frontal surfaces that oppose the airstream and thus minimise the cd value of the overall system. A drop has been proven to have value of 0.02 is the optimum drag coefficient. Storck frames with SAS therefore have a natural teardrop shape with a cross-section parallel to the ground (Ground Parallel Aerodynamics). Less power loss due to more aerodynamics.

HFX - Hysteresis Flex

Damping without dampers. Hysteresis is the lagging behind behind the variable force that causes it. Storck handlebars, seat posts and frames have this special property, the secret of which lies in the secret lies in the processing of the CFRP materials. We are talking here in specifically about layups. Impacts can thus be optimally absorbed and absorbed. The "bouncing" is minimised and the initial state is restored more quickly. Ultimately, this means more control for the rider, less loss of power and greater comfort.

AAS - Advanced Sectional Aerodynamics

The ideal teardrop shape already makes it possible with SAS technology to achieve an optimum aerodynamic drag coefficient by design. can be achieved. The basic idea of "ground parallel aerodynamics" and the associated optimisation of the optimisation of the cwA value is supplemented with AAS by the introduction of a a vortex-releasing trailing edge. More aerodynamics with increased material efficiency through consistent further development of the tube design.

ILS - Infinity Loop Stay

Seat stays as a damping element. A strut with a very large radius offers enormous damping without the loss of stiffness or additional weight or additional weight, as is the case with suspension elements. The pre-shaped seat stay absorbs shocks and bumps. Ideal in in conjunction with HFX. The result is noticeably more comfort and the increased increased traction and greater riding safety.

FSI - Flat Section Impact

The flat section moment of inertia determines the behaviour of a component under bending and torsional stress as a function of the loaded cross-sections. loaded cross-sections. The partial reduction of the axial flat section moment of inertia in the Fascenario seat post results in an improvement in the Hysteresis Flex behaviour with simultaneously stable torsional stiffness and a positive aerodynamic aerodynamic effect (AAS). More comfort and aerodynamics in the rear triangle/seatpost are the result.

PPT - Proportional Tubing

Larger frames are naturally exposed to greater load changes leverage, larger frames are naturally subject to greater load changes. Proportional Tubing takes these loads into account; the tubes are adapted to these loads in terms of taper, wall thickness and diameter, wall thickness and diameter are adapted to these stresses. This results in frames that have consistently good stiffness and comfort values, regardless of the frame height. and comfort values.

TFA - Torque Free Axle

Disc brakes place enormous stress on the frame and the axles by the torsional and shear forces generated during braking. These forces are optimally countered with stable, torsion-resistant shafts, called thru axles. Storck thru axles are not only used on mountain bikes but have also long been used on cross and racing bikes with disc brakes. They ensure stability, a precise fit and rigidity.

T25 - On The Fly Maintenance

Never again without tools in the middle of nowhere. One tool for (almost) all applications on the bike and without a tool bag. The T25 Torque standard spanner is inconspicuous, safe and ready to hand, e.g. in the thru axle hole. thru axle hole. This allows monolink seat posts, stems, thru axles, seat clamps, head set clamps, disc brake mounts, ODM and bottle cages bottle cages can be mounted on a Storck with the universal spanner.

NTR - Nano Carbon Technology Resin

When it is not the volume properties but the surface surface properties of the particles determine the material properties properties determine the material properties, this is referred to as size-induced functionality. The use of of nanoparticles in the resin structures of the carbon fibres leads to an improvement in fracture and splintering behaviour while at the same time increasing the flexibility of the component. More comfort with increased component safety.

CYKLAER TECHNOLOGY

Cyklaer is an innovative e-bike project in collaboration with Porsche Digital that combines the highest quality materials and digital technology. The parallelogram frame made of carbon and the Fazua Energy Ride drive make it particularly light (approx. 11.9 kg). With electronic gears, inductive charging and the iOS Cyklær app, it becomes a smart bike.
