History

Storck Bicycle is a major player in the world of cycling and can look back on an impressive history. The company was founded in 1995 by passionate cyclist and entrepreneur Markus Storck and quickly made a name for itself, particularly through the development of innovative and high-quality bicycles. Storck has had a decisive influence on the bicycle industry and is now one of the leading manufacturers of racing bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes. The focus has been on technology, design and performance. Through its vision, passion and continuous development, Storck Bicycle has become one of the most recognised and respected names in the international bicycle market.

2025

With the Fascenario.5 Team, Storck Bicycle presents the 5th generation of its proven all-round model, once again setting new standards. The latest evolution of the Fascenario series combines outstanding aerodynamics with an uncompromising combination of lightweight construction, stiffness and comfort. This model embodies the essence of modern road cycling: maximum propulsion, excellent control and timeless design. Our new website was launched in March 2025, offering a great user experience at. The bike configurator allows you to customise the model you want.

2024

Storck Bicycle presents the Aerfast.5, one of the fastest road bikes ever tested in a wind tunnel. Without a water bottle cage and with a sporty 120mm x 360mm handlebar/stem unit, the Tour wind tunnel test measured a fabulous 195 watts for the first time. To mark Markus Storck's 60th birthday, four of his favourite models are being released in a special limited edition. As part of this, Markus is working with Campagnolo to develop a Super Record groupset limited to 60 units. Limited edition wheels are also being developed in collaboration with Scope to mark the occasion. To improve its presence in the north, Storck opens a store at Coffee Plaza in HafenCity Hamburg. In addition, two Storck showrooms are opened at Bike+Work in Shanghai and Tianjin. The Aerfast.5 came second in the Roadbike readers' poll for the best road bike of the year and, together with the erde.2 (Honourable Mention) from our e:RADDAR brand, received outstanding international recognition with the bronze award at the Design Intelligence Award (DIA).

2023

The company proudly presents an average sales growth of 60% in the last three years and thus secured further shares in the difficult bicycle market. Storck Bicycle becomes the main sponsor of the UCI Continental Team Storck Metropolcycling from Hanau. From now on, the team will compete in national and international races on the latest Storck racing bikes. At Eurobike 2023, Storck will be presenting new models such as the e:Grix Pro, Adrenalin.2 Pro, Aerfast.4 Red and the Comp models of the Grix.2 and Aernario.3. Storck expands into the Chinese market through a long-term distribution partnership with the Golden Wheel Group. The cooperation with Golden Wheel further strengthens Storck's presence in China and gives Chinese customers access to exclusive Storck products.

2022

Storck Bicycle launches several new products on the market in 2022: the gravel racer Grix.2 Pro, the Walther Röhrl-inspired Aerfast.3 Raceinspired, the all-round racer Aernario.3 Pro and its own carbon wheels called Zeitjaeger. Storck also founds the e:RADDAR brand and launches the high-quality aluminium city e-bikes erde.1 and erde.2 under it. Storck enters into a service cooperation with the renowned bicycle dealer B.O.C., through which Storck customers can now have their service carried out in one of the approximately 50 B.O.C. branches. As part of the co-operation, the Grix Race and Rebel Race, which are distributed exclusively by B.O.C., will be introduced. Storck becomes the most successful brand at the Focus E-Bike Design Award and celebrates a 5-fold success at the German Design Award.

2021

Storck Bicycle continues its development. With the opening of the new Storck Studio Santa Clarita in California, Storck is already represented with its second store in the USA. Long-standing partner Cycling Friends, managed by shareholder Stefan Lohwasser, opens a new Storck Studio in South Africa. Europe's largest motorbike dealer Limbächer & Limbächer becomes a new retail partner for e-bikes in Germany with two stores in the Stuttgart area, in Reutlingen and Filderstadt. Together with the Glinicke Group, the "G-Motion" e-bike centre is opened in Kassel. In addition to strategic developments within the company, Storck launches a model offensive in 2021. The Aerfast.4, Fascenario.4, Aernario.3, Rebel.4, e:drenalin.2 SRS and the Cyklaer are presented to the public at Eurobike.


2020

New models such as the Grix and the Aerfast.3 set standards in their class in 2020. The Grix impresses as a versatile carbon gravel bike with race DNA, generous tyre clearance and numerous mounting points - ideal for performance and adventure. The Aerfast.3 stands for uncompromising aerodynamics: fully integrated cable routing, wide fork and optimised tube profiles ensure maximum efficiency on the road. Both models reflect Storck's technical innovation and consolidate the brand's position as a pioneer in the high-performance sector. The new flagship store in Wertheim, managed by former professional cyclist Kai Hundertmarck, is also opened.

2019

The success of the switch to the new sales model is already proving itself in 2019. There were high visitor numbers online and strong sales growth in the Storck stores. There was great demand for the Comp road bike models, which have won several tests in the trade press in the price range between €2,500 and €3,000 and are particularly impressive in terms of their price/performance ratio. New Enduro and Allmountain E-MTBs, as well as the unique E-Urban Bike Name:2, the Triahtlon bike Aero3 and the gravel bike GRIX will be presented at Storck Bicycle.


2018

2018 was characterised by the market launch of a completely new e-bike range in the MTB and road bike segment and, in particular, the launch of the online sales platform storck-bikes.com. As a result, Storck Bicycle established the Sales 4.0 strategy, which refers to the almost worldwide online distribution of Storck products on the one hand and the further expansion of the company's own store and studio concept on the other.

2017

The Fascenario.3 series is supplemented with the F.3 Pro and the F.3 Pro Disc. The "Colours of Life" concept is introduced. This gives Storck models more colour for the first time. Muted earth tones are intended to imitate the colours found in nature. The F.3 Platinum immediately won the Bicycle Brand Contest 2017, the German Design Award 2017 and the iF Design Award 2017. The Adrenic Platinum was also honoured with the iF Design Award 2017 and a Special Mention at the German Design Award 2017. The nam:e e-bike study won the German Design Award 2017.

2016

With the Fascenario.3 Platinum, Storck presents a road bike that has been optimised in every respect. Aerodynamics, comfort, stiffness and weight are balanced like never before. Storck Bicycle receives the German Brand Award Gold 2016 for excellent brand communication and wins three awards in the Bicycle Brand Contest for Adrenic Platinum, Durnario Platinum and nam:e. At the same time, nam:e receives the JEC Innovation Award in Atlanta. With the Visioner Prana, an all-female model is presented for the first time. The mountain bike range is expanded with the Platinum models from Adrenic, Rebel Nine and Rebel Seven and in the cross segment there is now also an aluminium crosser with the TIX AL.

2015

The Visioner C (Roadbike 04/2015) and the Visioner G1 (Tour 12/2014) become test winners in their class. The T.I.X. immediately wins the big crosser test in Tour magazine 11/2014. Storck opens further stores in Manila and Düsseldorf. The new complete bike programme is presented at Eurobike. Aerfast Comp, Aernario Comp and Durnario Comp form the basis for technically sophisticated and attractively priced complete bikes. The road bike range is clearly structured vertically (Aero, Race/Allround, Endurance) and horizontally (Platinum, Pro, Comp), making it easier for customers to choose according to area of use and price. Together with the company Rehau, the nam:e, an e-bike study as the result of a research project sponsored by the Federal Ministry, will be presented at Eurobike.

2014

The Aernario Signature is the test winner in "Tour" magazine 02/2014. The Aernario G1 wins the German Design Award 2014 and the Aernario Platinum wins the iF Gold Award for best product design. Stefan Schlegel finishes a magnificent fifth in the 2014 RAAM on the Aernario G1 and Aero2. Storck Bicycle becomes the material sponsor of the pewag racing team led by Faris Al-Sultan. With the T.I.X. (This Is Cross), Storck Bicycle presents a cross racer for the first time. The Aerfast, a particularly aerodynamic racing bike, is presented. The range of carbon racing bikes is extended with the lightweight Visioner CSL frameset. And the trekking bike segment is modernised with the Zero2Eight. The virtual four-bar linkage technology, already successful in the Organic, is also used in the new Storck Fully Adrenic.

2013

The Aernario Platinum is the test winner in "Tour" magazine 2/2013 and celebrated as the best frameset of all time. The frameset achieves a rating of 1.1, which has never been reached before. Faris Al-Sultan wins the Ironman Lanzarote on his Aero2 IS. It is his fourth Ironman victory on an Aero2 since 2009. The Aernario Basic is presented at Eurobike. Also based on the Aernario G1, the Aernario Disc is presented, Storck's first road bike with disc brakes. Storck Cycling Gear is expanded to include other items such as rain jackets, winter clothing and MTB clothing. The products Aernario G1, Storck Cycling Gear and the RBC180 racing handlebars are honoured with an iF Product Design Award. With 31 awards in 16 competitions since 1999, Storck Bicycle is one of the most successful companies in the design competition.

2012

The Fascenario 0.6 wins the world's most comprehensive frame test by "Tour" magazine and is also honoured with the Eurobike Design Award. The Scentron road bike model wins several tests in the Ultegra Di2 bike class. All road bike frames are now designed for both mechanical and electronic shifting and are fitted with PressFit bottom brackets. Cable and cable guides are fully integrated. With the "Sectional Aerodynamic Shaping", Storck introduces a new design standard. The Rebel Seven is Storck's first 650B MTB (27.5 inch). The Organic Light is accepted into the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. The Tri Team Abu Dhabi around Faris Al-Sultan, supported by Storck Bicycle, achieves seven first places and almost 20 podium finishes. Al-Sultan also finishes fifth in the Ironman World Championship.

2011

In addition to proportional tubes for the main frame, the Fenomalist and Rebelion models also have proportional seat stays for more comfort. Storck's first twentyniner, the Rebel Nine, will be presented at Eurobike 2011. Other frames compatible with electronic shifting, such as the Scentron and the lightweight aluminium Visioner model, are launched on the market. At Eurobike, Storck presents a study of the Voltist e-bike project of the future. The MTB model Rebel Six is presented as the successor to the successful Rebel Carbon and Rebelion 1.3 models. Markus Storck founds the Storck MTB Team together with Ralph Berner. The team bike is the hardtail Rebelion 1.3. The Fascenario 0.7 is the test winner in the world's largest frame test of the racing bike magazine "Tour". The Scenero is named "Bike of the Year" in the British magazine "Cycling Plus".

2010

The Fascenario 0.6 combines the maximum design values of the Fascenario 0.7 IS and the technical highlights of the Aero; it offers carbon brakes integrated into the fork and rear triangle. Based on the Absolutist 0.9, the new Absolutist has been further developed and is up to 20 % stiffer at the steering head and bottom bracket. The Fenomalist Di2 is an extremely stiff carbon race bike that is designed for use with Shimano's Di2 electronic shifting system. The Multiroad Carbon is Storck's first trekking bike with a carbon frame and fork. It also forms the basis for Storck's first electric bike, the Raddar. Storck Bicycle supports the Tri Team Abu Dhabi led by world-class triathlete Faris Al-Sultan. This enables top triathletes to present the Fenomalist and Aero2 models in international competitions.

2009

The Absolutist 1.0 with unidirectional (UD) carbon fibre is presented as the successor to the Absolutist 0.9. The Fenomalist takes up the technical characteristics of the Fascenario and Absolutist models, including the UD fibre and high stiffness values. The Aero concept is consistently developed further in the Aero 2. From the 2009 season, the Power Arms SL will also be available for the MTB sector. The partnership with Syntace is expanded. At the "Tour" test in March 2009, Storck wins the constructors' classification for the third time in a row. In February, the company moves into its new premises in Idstein. The Storck logo is modernised and the equipment and visual design of the bikes are revised as part of an overall concept. Racing bikes are offered in the IWC design via the renowned Swiss watch brand IWC.

2008

Based on the Fascenario 0.7 and Fascenario 0.8 models, the Fascenario 0.7 IS fuselage package (handlebars, stem, headset and crankset without chainrings) has been developed. All together it weighs just 1,550 grams. The Rebelion 1.0 and 1.1 MTB frames are now manufactured using the VVC process. This guarantees extremely high stiffness values combined with noticeably improved comfort. Following in the footsteps of the tried and tested Scenario CD1.0, the new Absolutist 0.9 has been given a new shape with a 1 1/4 inch head tube and oversized chainstays. In July 2008, the world's first Storck store opens in Seoul, Korea. The next Storck store opens in November 2008, this time in Leipzig/Halle. The ground-breaking ceremony for the new Storck company building takes place in Idstein.

2007

Thanks to the innovative VVC (Vacuum Void Controlled) production process, Storck succeeds in reducing the resin content of its high-quality carbon frames by a third. With 41 candidates, the Fascenario 0.7 wins the biggest test ever carried out by the bike magazine "Tour" across the board. The Rebelion 1.0 delivers the best values in the hardtail segment ever measured by "MountainBIKE" magazine. The new "Power Arms SL" cranks are designed to be even lighter and stiffer. A collaboration with the wheel manufacturer Zipp results in the Zipp 69 wheels specially manufactured for Storck. Syntace also produces components with blue anodised titanium bolts exclusively for Storck.

2006

The Scenario CD0.9 road bike weighs less than five kilos with standard components. The newly introduced aerodynamic road bike Aero is ridden by professional triathletes such as Michael Göhner (runner-up in the 2007 European Championships) and Meike Krebs (fourth in the 2008 European Championships). The Adrenalin Carbon mountain bike is now also available with a carbon rocker and rear triangle. This reduces the weight to well below the 11-kilo limit. At Eurobike 2006, the Adrenalin LT is presented with an extended suspension travel of 125 mm. From 2006, high-quality seat posts, handlebars and stems will once again be branded with the Storck logo. Storck is honoured with the iF Award for the Multitask Comfort, the Adrenalin Carbon with carbon rear triangle and the Scenario CD1.0 10th Anniversary.

2005

Storck presents its Multitask everyday and trekking bike at Eurobike 2005. A carbon rear triangle is introduced for the Adrenalin series, which is also suitable for retrofitting to older models. The reasonably priced Scenario C1.2 is offered in new colour variants. With the Ergo-Bar, Storck also presents a carbon racing handlebar. Storck receives the coveted iF Gold Award for the Scenario CD1.0 and the Rebel Carbon in the "iF Design" competition 2005.

2004

At Eurobike, Markus Storck presents a racing bike based on the Scenario C 0.9, reduced to 4.2 kilos, as well as the super-light carbon hardtail Rebel Carbon weighing 7.2 kilos. For demanding road cyclists, Storck is introducing the Scenario CD1.0 with carbon dropouts. A patented reinforcement in the head tube ensures greater steering head stiffness. The Scenario 1.1 frame and the Storck Ergo handlebars are honoured with the iF Gold Award for their design. The Stiletto Aero, an aerodynamically optimised, very stiff and beautifully shaped full carbon fork, is presented at Eurobike. It weighs just 360 grams and is a suitable addition to the Scenario CD0.9, CD1.0 and C1.1 road bike frames.

2003

Adrenalin and Rebel Race are optimised for use with Enduro suspension forks up to 130 mm. The ISIS-compatible Power Arms Pro MTB crank is also new. Storck presents its Scenario C 0.9 and 1.1 carbon road bike frames. At 985 grams, the 0.9 immediately undercuts the one-kilo mark, which was considered insurmountable. With over 1,500 frames sold worldwide, the 1.1 is proving to be an absolute bestseller. The Adrenalin Carbon is honoured with the iF Award at Eurobike. The Multiroad trekking bike is upgraded with a new geometry, disc brake mount and "smooth weld" seams.

2002

The monocoque Adrenalin Carbon is presented at Eurobike. Storck sets a new world weight record with the Scenario Light racing bike: 4.9 kilos with conventional standard parts. The Scenario Evo is launched on the market as a limited edition luxury model. The Storck Organic is shown in the special exhibition "Bicycle Patents" at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office in Munich.

2001

The Storck company logo with the unmistakable Yin-Yang symbol and the integrated Storck-S is introduced. Markus Storck is inspired by his frequent trips to Asia. The new Organic Light weighs just 2,200 grams (frame plus shock). The aluminium hardtail Rebel Race is introduced. The fully Adrenalin gets a new rear triangle for tyres up to 2.35 inches. With the new Scenario Light racing bike frame, which weighs less than 1,200 grams, Markus Storck presents his lightest frame to date. Winning the "3i Innovation Challenge" in Solihull, England, is a milestone for the company. In the competition organised by the associated company "3i Germany", Markus Storck prevails against 422 competitors and wins prize money of 500,000 pounds sterling.

2000

The Organic is voted mountain bike of the year by the trade press. The weight of the "Adrenalin" mountain bike is further optimised - the frame and shock now weigh significantly less than 2,500 grams. The Scenario Race is introduced as a new entry-level racing bike. Following the successful filming of a commercial for Organic, Markus Storck wins ProSieben as a sponsor of his team.

1999

Markus Storck launches the Stiletto Light road bike fork on the market - weighing just 280 grams, it is the lightest fork in the world and the winner of the "Tour" cycling magazine test. The World Traveller touring bike is also new. The market-ready Organic immediately wins the test in the "MountainBIKE" magazine. Storck once again takes first place among manufacturers in the German design ranking, and is also ranked first in the "Leisure, sport and play" category.

1998

Markus Storck's bicycles are increasingly recognised by the world of design. The London Design Museum exhibits the Fully Adrenalin; the "Power Arms" cranks are presented at the National Design Museum in New York. Storck products take first place in the German Design Ranking of that year. In the same year, the "Power Arms" carbon cranks are offered in three product and price segments. For the first time, Storck offers complete bikes that can be customised on the company's website. At Eurobike, Markus Storck presents the Scenario Pro, a racing bike that sets the record in its class with a weight of less than 6.5 kilos. The prototype of the Organic carbon full-suspension bike is also presented to the public for the first time.

1997

Markus Storck enters an international design competition for the first time. With the Fully Adrenalin, he immediately takes first place in the prestigious "Red Dot Award", an honour for the highest design quality. The presentation of the study of a monocoque full-suspension mountain bike, called Stingray, serves as a preliminary stage for the development of the legendary Organic. Markus Storck launches two affordable models, the Vision road bike and the Bandit mountain bike.

1996

At the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Bart Brentjens wins the first ever Olympic gold medal in mountain biking on a Storck Rebel, customised with the American Eagle design. The Rebel frame is further developed and introduced with the new Pro headset system and integrated headset. Storck's first aluminium trekking bike, the Multiroad, is presented alongside the new Scenario Comp road bike.

1995

Markus Storck takes his Bike-tech and 2-Danger brands off the market and ends sales of the Klein brand. In the same year, he presents bicycles with the logo of the new Storck brand for the first time. Highlights of the collection are the Scenario Pro and Scenario racing bikes and the Legend triathlon bike. Storck immediately wins over 70 dealers for its lightweight, high-quality aluminium bikes, whose frames are manufactured in the USA. Storck's innovations include the 1 1/8 inch headset size for racing bikes, which offers greater stability. In the MTB segment, the innovative fully Adrenalin stands out in particular, whose rear suspension kinematics were developed in collaboration with the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg under Dr Eric Gross with the help of a large-scale computer.

1994

Markus Storck starts the development of a carbon front wheel hub. A super-lightweight carbon brake booster weighing just 13 grams is launched on the market.

1993

The "Power Arms" carbon cranks are launched on the market. At 280 grams, they can be considered the lightest cranks in the world. Storck's first fully is also introduced with the Double-Shock.

1992

Bike-tech develops the first fully with four-bar technology. Storck starts developing the "Power Arms" cranks made of carbon - an early milestone in the company's history.

1990

The sale of Bike-tech MTB parts begins in Germany, including a brake booster and the super-light aluminium "Power Arms" cranks. Markus Storck initiates the first Eurobike in Friedrichshafen.

1988

The company Bike-tech is founded in 1988. The first bicycles of the new brand are presented at the IFMA bicycle trade fair in Cologne.

1986

After powder-coated high-end Storck racing bikes had already been built to Markus Storck's specifications at Technobull in 1977, Markus Storck began importing the US brands Cannondale and Trek from his parents' shop in Frankfurt am Main in the early 1980s. Storck thus introduced completely new brands and technologies to the German market.
