Stage race from the team perspective

The 2026 Tour of Britain takes Team Storck MRW Bau across five stages from Lincoln to the Scottish Borders. For the team, the race is an international benchmark: long days, changing profiles and race situations that make experience visible.

01

Stage race with rhythm changes

Flat coastal sections, long days and the hard North Yorkshire stage demand different roles within the team.

02

Development in the race

Every day requires different decisions: ride for a sprint, read the wind, survive climbs or commit to a breakaway.

03

Visual Value

Each stage includes a Storck MRW Bau elevation profile and route map.

Stage 2 · 3 September 2026

flat coastal stage through Lincolnshire
Hero image Stage 3: Hull to Beverley

Stage 3 · 4 September 2026

Hero image Stage 4: Helmsley to Leyburn

Stage 4 · 5 September 2026

Context

What defines this stage race

The Tour of Britain is less a pure climbing race and more a stage race for complete teams. Success requires sprint structure, wind awareness, climbing resilience and clear daily strategy.

Fast days

Lincoln, Skegness and Beverley can lean towards sprint scenarios, but distance, wind and finales prevent routine racing.

Decision in Yorkshire

Stage 4 brings the strongest selection pressure and can significantly reshape the general classification.

Finale with options

Earlston gives teams one more chance for offensive plans after four hard days.
