Four stages across South Westphalia: time trial in Brilon, mountain stages, the Wenholthausen circuit and the finale to Winterberg.
Race Preview
The Sauerland Rundfahrt is compact, but demanding. Time trial, hilly terrain and circuit racing require clear team roles, smart pacing and attention until the final kilometre.
The Brilon time trial creates the first gaps early and puts every rider directly into race mode.
The mountain stages demand toughness, climbing strength and a setup that stays efficient across changing profiles.
Wenholthausen adds repetition, fatigue and tactical decisions that matter more with every lap.
Stages
Each stage page includes race preview, elevation profile and route map in the Storck MRW Bau visual style.

Stage 1 · 03.09.2026
The opening stage is short, but far from harmless: in Brilon, precision matters from the first metre. The time trial sets the first order of the race and rewards riders who combine rhythm, technique and power.

Stage 2 · 04.09.2026
Stage 2 runs from Brilon to Siedlinghausen and takes the race deep into the rolling Sauerland. Direction changes, climbs and fast transitions make the day the first major endurance test.

Stage 3 · 05.09.2026
The Wenholthausen circuit is honest because it repeats the same questions again and again. Riders who remain well positioned after several laps can make the difference in the finale.

Stage 4 · 06.09.2026
The finale from Arnsberg to Winterberg fits the Sauerland Rundfahrt perfectly: plenty of elevation, a hard final section and a finish near the Astenturm. The general classification can still move significantly here.
Context
The Sauerland Rundfahrt combines regional relevance with real sporting demands. These are exactly the races that show how stable a young team is: before the start, during the race and throughout daily recovery.
Four race days in a compact window show who remains consistent and who can still react under fatigue.
The stages require clear communication, protection for the right riders and courage in decisive race phases.
Many climbs are not extremely long, but they keep coming. That is what makes the race selective.
